Fee Schedule

Expert Witness:         $375 per hour with minimum retainer of $1,500.00.

Consulting Fees:  If an attorney uses Ms. Shaner as a consultant in a general sense for a particular retirement plan, the bill will be sent directly to the attorney which is payable within (30) days.  In some cases, a retainer will be required.

Retirement Plans:  If Ms. Shaner is going to be involved in a case from the beginning until approval is obtained by a plan administrator, the fee agreement will be with your client and QDRO Virginia, PLC.  The hourly rate is $375.00 per hour.  The average retainer for handling the division of retirement plans in this situation will be  between $1,500 and $2000 depending on the particular plan and the number of plans.

*    Both parties can retain me with the written consent of both parties;

*    PSA language can state that QDRO Virginia, PLC is to prepare the required documents;

*    Discounts:  If attorneys choose to use QDRO Virginia, PLC to handle all of their retirement plan issues, there will be a 10% discount on the rates quoted above.

Litigation Regarding Retirement Plan Issues:  If Ms. Shaner’s services are involved in a particular case, the hourly rate for QDRO Virginia, PLC is $375.00 per hour.

Research:  If an attorney requests legal research for a particular case, the hourly rate for QDRO Virginia, PLC is $400.00 per hour, as well as the expenses charged by the legal research vehicle that is utilized.

All Other Services:  The attorney’s fees for any of the other services provided by Ms. Shaner range between $350.00 and $400.00 per hour depending on the complexity of the issue involved.  In these situations, a retainer will be required.
